The Yes Basic Snowboard is the original that got it right—its shape and ride have stood the test of time for a reason
Featuring the CamRock profile for a perfect blend of float, pop, and control, and UnderBite edges that enhance edge hold by redistributing pressure, it delivers a confident, playful ride for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Tried, true, and totally dialed, the Basic proves sometimes the first take really is the best.
A twin snowboard is symmetrically shaped, with an identical nose and tail, enabling riders to perform maneuvers and tricks with ease in both regular and switch stances. This symmetrical design ensures equal performance characteristics regardless of direction, facilitating versatile riding experiences. Ideal for freestyle riders and terrain park enthusiasts, twin snowboards enhance maneuverability, allow for seamless transitions between tricks, and promote a balanced feel. The symmetrical shape fosters a consistent and predictable ride, making it well-suited for those who enjoy riding in various directions and executing tricks with a uniform approach.
PRODUCT FEATURES
CAMBER
Camrock 3-4-3 - The response of camber with the floatability of rocker. Camber between your feet acts as a spring, keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns and allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more, allowing it to float.
SHAPE
UnderBite edges re-distribute a rider’s weight in such a way that it enhances turning ease and edge hold. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. This increases the edge pressure by distributing your weight/energy in the areas where you need it - from the binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 key zones focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold and release turns.
CORE
Full Poplar – Yes.'s baseline core for tip-to-tail woodcore snowboard construction. A core that strikes a predictable balance between durability and consistent flex and lightweight feel.
BASE
Extruded - Just like it says. This material is formed by extrusion. It’s softer than our other two bases, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At the speeds many of us ride, this material is actually quicker (gets up to speed faster) than sintered when waxed correctly. You may have your own proof of this when you’re smoking by someone with a dried out “high-end” base. It also retains wax better because it’s more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if you get scratches in it.
