    MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a helmet technology designed to reduce rotational forces on the brain during angled impacts. It features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows it to slide relative to the head, mimicking the brain’s natural protective mechanisms. This slip-plane system helps dissipate rotational motion, reducing the risk of brain injuries. MIPS can be integrated into various helmet types, including those for cycling, skiing, and other sports.

Fully certified for racing, and featuring the innovative Race Lock turnwheel adjuster for a completely secure fit at very high speeds, the Skull Dura Comp Mips gives the kind of comfort that lets you stay focused purely on racing, with no distractions from kit. Shaped for an even fit over the whole head, with no pressure points, the helmet features a multi-impact EPP liner for extra protection. Mips provides increased rotational impact protection, and a VPD deflector panel absorbs energy from repeat impacts against the gates, so the helmet liner can properly protect your head in a fall. The FIS RH 2013 certified helmet features aramid penetration protection, and ear pads that can be easily removed after a fall, making it easier to remove the helmet safely. Ear chambers support improved balance, and the helmet is fully compatible with the Maxilla Breakaway Chin Guard.
