Head Faero Exp MIPS Helmet 2027

Tech Features

  • MIPS

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a helmet technology designed to reduce rotational forces on the brain during angled impacts. It features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows it to slide relative to the head, mimicking the brain’s natural protective mechanisms. This slip-plane system helps dissipate rotational motion, reducing the risk of brain injuries. MIPS can be integrated into various helmet types, including those for cycling, skiing, and other sports.

Specs

The Faero EXP MIPS helmet combines safety and style with a snug, adjustable fit, lightweight durability, and seamless goggle integration. Its ventilation system adapts to any condition, while the Fidlock® buckle allows easy, one-handed fastening. The Mips® Integra TX system complements the traditional fabric-and-foam comfort padding with an integrated low-friction layer. The system provides movement to help reduce rotational motion to the head in certain angled impacts, without altering comfort and fit or adding weight to the helmet. The FÆRO EXP MIPS is also equipped with the RECCO® system, a safety system that improves detectability in an emergency. With its state-of-the-art technology and stylish design, new helmet is your perfect companion for a safe and comfortable adventure on the slopes.

Features

Hybrid Shell Construction

A smart mix of tough ABS outer shell and lightweight In-Mold construction. Hybrid Shell helmets provide the best of both worlds — strong protection plus light comfort — built for riders who want it all.

RECCO

Built-in reflector helps rescue teams find you quickly in an avalanche—giving you extra safety and peace of mind on the slopes.

Adjustable Ventilation

Easily control your airflow by sliding vents open or closed—so you stay comfortable no matter the weather.

Sphere Fit Height Adjustment

An enhanced fit system that adjusts the helmet’s height to match your head shape—especially around your forehead and nose—for a custom feel and perfect goggle fit.

Surround Comfort Design

The Surround Comfort Design extends the patented Sphere Fit System to ensure a snug fit also around the ear area. This design securely and comfortably encloses the head, allowing the helmet to sit lower and reduce visual bulk.

Removable Earpads

The washable earpads of this model can be taken out to suit the variable weather conditions and for cleaning.

Fidlock Buckle

This buckle closes automatically and can be opened easily and conveniently by sliding the buckle laterally with just one hand.
