It’s insulated with premium 60% duck down and 40% duck feathers for lightweight, natural warmth. The down comes from Responsible Down Standard (RDS) sources, ensuring that the ducks are raised in compliance with the principles of animal welfare. The jacket exterior has a PFC-free, water repellent treatment to shed light precipitation.

We only source down from geese and ducks that have not been live-plucked, force-fed, or subjected to unnecessary harm. To ensure that no birds are harmed in the making of our products, 100% of the down we use is fully traceable and RDS-certified.
PFC-Free Durable Water Repellency Treatment
A major focus of Helly Hansen is to prevent leakage of chemicals into the environment. As such they are in close cooperation with research institutes and chemical suppliers of PFAS-free DWR (dirt and water repellent) treatments and won’t compromise over quality.
