How Do You Size A Burton Snowboard

When attempting to choose the correct snowboard size for you or someone you know, you’ll have to consider some basic information first. Now one of the most common misconceptions is that height is the main factor in determining your perfect board length but as we all know, snowboards don’t have eyes, so they can’t see how tall you are. Snowboard can however “feel” how heavy you are, and the heavier you are the longer the board will need to be to create that perfect flex. That being said, height should still be considered when sizing but it is something that you can overlook in a lot of cases.Furthermore, you’re going to need to think about what kind of riding you’ll be doing on the slopes. If you’re doing a lot of park riding, hitting jibs and butters, you’ll want to size down your board a bit to shed some weight for turns and tricks. In this same vein, if you’ll be hitting high speeds and carving up the slopes you may want to size up a bit so that you can get some more stability via the increased contact surface.
